Listserv Instructions - normally sent by GTO
Your list has been created. Your list name and title is XXXXX. If the title is wrong, please let me know so I can update it. To logon and manage your lists:
- Open a browser window to https://listserv.state.nv.us/scripts/wa.exe
- If you do not have a password, you'll need a LISTSERV password. If you're already on the LISTSERV Login Screen, click on the get a new LISTSERV password link.
- Since you are the owner of these lists, you can add other owners who will then be able to send postings.
- To send email to list subscribers, send an email to your listserv (XXX@listserv.state.nv.us) with what you want to ‘post’, (send out to the subscribers of the list), in the Body of the email. Note: You can place a comment in the subject line for your own reference.

The Command Address and List Address The most important thing to keep in mind is that all commands to query, change, and configure your list are done mainly via e-mail messages, or via the WWW interface. This is true whether you are a List Owner sending in list configuration options or a List Subscriber setting personal options.
The address to send commands, queries, etc., is known as the Command Address. This address is different than the List Address where messages are "posted" to the list. The most common mistake among List Subscribers is to send commands to the List Address and to try to post messages to the Command Address.
For example, assuming that your list is running on a server with the internet address of DOMAIN.COM, then the Command Address is LISTSERV@DOMAIN.COM and the List Address is listname@DOMAIN.COM assuming that your list name is listname.
Try this out. To determine the LISTSERV Version and Site Manager for your list send the command SHOW VERSION in the body of an e-mail to the LISTSERV Command Address for your site.
